Reading School has announced a special 900th anniversary lecture series as part of its year-long celebrations marking nine centuries of educational excellence.
The free public lectures will explore the school’s remarkable history, from its medieval origins linked to Reading Abbey to its architectural heritage and its journey through wartime to the present.
The series brings together local historians, architectural experts, and alumni to share fascinating stories about the School’s past and its role in shaping the town of Reading.
Headmaster, Dr Chris Evans said: “These lectures are a wonderful opportunity to bring together our school community and the wider public to reflect on our shared history.
“As we celebrate our 900th anniversary, it’s vital to look back at how our school has grown and contributed to the life of Reading over the centuries.”
All lectures are free of charge and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to book in advance as spaces are limited.
