AN ARBORFIELD refill shop is joining forces with two local business to launch pop-up green cleaning workshops.

Arborfill, Reading-based eco-shop and doorstep refill service has teamed up with Nature Works Wonders, an essential oils education provider.

Concerned about unnecessary plastic waste at home and the impact of chemicals on people’s health, the two small businesses are offering three workshops at locations within Berkshire.

Two workshops are being hosted by another green business, Re.loved Style studio in Reading.

At each session participants will learn how to make their own cleaning products, which organisers say are easy to mix, cost effective, and use natural ingredients.

“People are becoming more aware of the toxins being brought into their home and want to do something about it but are not sure how,” said, Carly Tillyer, from Arborfill.

“Our workshops will help them on this journey in a really fun, social way.”

Nicolette Evans from Nature Works Wonders, said: “We’re really excited to run these workshops to help people ditch the chemicals and switch to cleaning with natural ingredients.

“We want to question what’s really in their household products in the same way that people are looking again at processed food labels.”

Participants will be supplied with everything they need to make three green cleaning products to take home with them, including a foaming handwash, and a multi-purpose cleaner.

Arborfill will supply natural ingredients, while Nicolette Evans from Nature Works Wonders will be on hand to help people choose TERRA essential oils.

Each workshop lasts one and a half hours, and includes a short talk on how to identify potentially health-harming toxins at home and swap them for natural alternatives.

Light refreshments will be provided at all three workshops, which can be joined at:

Re.loved Style studio, Beech Hill, Reading, on Thursday, November 14, at 7pm

The Waterside pub, Woodley, on Thursday, November 21, at 10.45am.

Re.loved Style studio, Beech Hill, Reading, on Sunday, November 24, at 2.30pm

Tickets cost £25 per person, and need to be booked in advance, as numbers are limited due to available space.
