A LAW firm with offices in Reading has been listed as one of the top 20 places in the country for planning law.
Blandy & Blandy, which has recently announced its intention to open a branch in Wokingham, made the cut in Planning magazine’s 2023 Planning Law Survey.
It is one of the highest-rated regional firms in this year’s rankings, traditionally dominated by national and City firms.
Partner and team head Karen Jones is also recognised in a list of the country’s highest-rated planning solicitors, in joint 13th place.
The rankings are compiled based on peer-led interviews and research and see Blandy & Blandy placed above firms including Freeths, Cripps, Irwin Mitchell, Clarke Wilmott, Gowling WLG and Mills & Reeve.
Ms Jones said: “We are very pleased to continue to be recognised as one of the country’s leading planning law firms and pride ourselves on providing significant expertise and an unrivalled service in this specialist area of law.
“We feel that our established position in the Thames Valley and extensive knowledge of the region, combined with our involvement in key projects and our established relationships within the professional community helps to further set us apart.
“Of course, we also work closely with colleagues across our firm, with dedicated expertise in areas including Commercial Property, Dispute Resolution and Venue Licensing.”
Blandy & Blandy is also ranked as a top tier firm for both Planning and Environment in the, Chambers UK and The Legal 500, with the latter also recognising Karen Jones as a ‘leading individual’ in her field.
