ON MONDAY, October 6, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue received reports of a fire in a high-rise building on Oxford Road.
At around 12.10pm, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to attend.
They found that a small kitchen fire on the third floor flat was underway: after the blaze was put out, firefighters removed an extractor hood and affected kitchen units, before clearing the area with ventilators.
There are no reports of any injury, and crews were on the scene for less than an hour.
