The King’s Road has partially reopened, after being closed due to a serious road traffic collision.
It is open eastbound, allowing traffic moving away from the town centre, though the westbound bus lane into town is still closed.
Police were advising motorists to find alternative routes through town, as the road is closed in both directions.
Serious injuries have been reported, though no further information is available at this time.
Reading Buses has reported severe delays to its services, including the 17 and 4 routes, as well as some short notice cancellations.
