Katesgrove Green Party councillors have announced recent upgrades to the play area at Waterloo Meadows in Reading.

After years of campaigning, the improvements have come to fruition which they hope will bring joy to local families and children.

The Green Party councillors have said that the upgraded play area is now a safe and vibrant space, fostering community spirit and providing a much-needed recreational spot for our youngest residents.

The renovations to the Waterloo Meadows play area include a new, even surface to replace the previously lumpy ground, and modern, engaging play equipment.

Councillor Kate Nikulin, Green Party, Katesgrove Ward, expressed her delight at the completion of the project.

She said: “It is great to finally see children enjoying the new play equipment. We are committed to continuing our efforts to improve our local community spaces.
