Nesta Guinness-Walker sent a message to the Reading FC fans following his release from the club.
The left-back was one of four first-team players who were released by the club at the end of their contracts.
Posting on his Instagram page, Guinness-Walker said: “I want to say thank you to everyone at Reading Football Club as my time at the club comes to an end.
“I’ve met some great people and although it didn’t end how I would’ve hoped I feel honoured to have put on the shirt.
“I wish everyone involved at the club the best and look forward to seeing the fans get the club back to where it belongs.”
The 24-year-old joined the club in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer having departed AFC Wimbledon.
He played a total of 41 games for the Royals in all competitions.
Having made just eight League One appearances in the first-half of the campaign, he was sent out on loan to Stevenage where he played 14 times.
