TILEHURST PANTHERS completed a miraculous league campaign as champions which saw them go the entire season unbeaten.

The Panthers enjoyed an incredible run which saw them win 19 of their 20 league matches as they finished on 58 points, just two shy of picking up maximum points.

Tilehurst were on fire in their final game of the campaign as they fired 12 past Procision Oxford without reply.

There was six different goalscorers on the day as the Panthers rounded off their league season in style.

There were goals from Maalani George and Thea Wright, braces for Jacqueline Asamoah and Georgia Hayes, and hat-tricks from Leah Why and Rhianna Langham.

Following the final whistle, the celebrations kicked off as Tilehurst were awarded the league title to cap off a memorable season for the side.

Reading City Football Club said: “All at Reading City Football Club would like to congratulate everyone at our sister club Tilehurst Panthers who were crowned champions of Thames Valley Women’s League Division One after an emphatic 12-0 win here at the Rivermoor, the hub of Reading’s football community yesterday afternoon. An impressive season has not only seen them secure the league championship, but also retain the Berks and Bucks FA Women’s Trophy.
