The Howden Christmas Racing Weekend is Ascot’s final race meeting of the year – and the perfect way to embrace the festive season.

This December, Ascot combines thrilling, action-packed racing with an abundance of jolly entertainment and activities to get friends, families and colleagues alike into the Christmas spirit.

The weekend commences with a quality Jumps card featuring the Grade 2 Howden Noel Novices’ Chase – previous years have seen the likes of Simonsig and Politologue win this exhilarating race. Friday concludes with the Listed Bumper to cap off a great day on the track. Saturday marks the most valuable meeting of Ascot’s jumps season, featuring the unmissable long-distance Howden Long Walk Hurdle. Expect a weekend of sensational racing with six Jumps races on both days accompanied by Christmas jubilance off the track.

Families and racegoers can look forward to nutcracker-themed activities on the Saturday, as well as candle-lit carol singing with the Ascot Brass Band who will be returning this year as one of Saturday’s delightful festive highlights. For families with children, Ascot has reportedly been added as one of Father Christmas’s stops and he will be in attendance for little ones to visit on Saturday, spreading cheer. The weekend promises to be a highlight of the holiday season and a wonderful way to enjoy the races and Christmas period with others this winter.
