Hit the decks: Blue Collar Corner welcomes world-famous DJs

BLUE COLLAR Corner is set to host legendary DJs over the coming weeks as well as its usual offerings of street food and selection of ale and beer from Berkshire breweries.

This weekend, The Berkshire Blag is bringig an all-day event to the corner featuring 12 hours of DJs.

As well as Checkpoint Charlie’s resident DJ, Mat Carter, eight other DJs will perform from noon until Midnight, with house and techno pioneer Billy Nasty headlining.

Nasty holds a Guiness World Record for the first ever commercially-released DJ mix, and is notable for his first residency, which was at London’s Brain Club in 1990.

He’ll be joined by Duncan Gray, Acid Cats, Tony bellamy, Sooney, Steve Nash, Martin Madigan, Filta Freqz, and Turkish.

In September, giant of the house music scene Brandon Block will be spinning discs at the corner, with support from resident DJs Elle Cee and Kingpin.

Block has achieved legendary status following his residency at the Space Terrace in Ibiza, the first at the venue.

As well as DJs, Blue Collar Corner is hosting an afterparty for Reading Pride on Saturday, September 2, screening the Rugby World Cup 2023 fixtures in September, and England’s fixtures in the Euro 2024 Qualifying group stages.

The Berkshire Blag’s all-day party featuring Billy Nasty takes place on Sunday, August 27, at Blue Collar Cornar, central Reading, from Noon.

Brandon Block is headlining at Blue Collar Corner on Friday, September 22, from 5pm, with free entry, though tables for eight or more can be booked via: letsbookfor.com/blue-collar-corner.
