A NURSERY for children whose parents work at Royal Berkshire Hospital is asking for donations of wet weather play suits for its children.
Michelle Thatcher, manager of Rainbow Day Nursery explained why the group needs puddle wear.
She said: We have 59 children at the nursery and we like to get them outside as much as possible.
“Each of our three age groups, Hedgehogs, Foxes, and Owls, have their own garden, and the children love playing outside.
“Some of them are quite little, and not yet walking, so that can be challenging in the rain.
“We don’t want to ask our NHS staff parents to provide wet weather playsuits, which can cost £30 new, and as part of Royal Berkshire Hospital we don’t have much budget.
“So we are asking people to kindly donate unwanted outdoor gear their children have grown out of.
“We’ve received four playsuits so far, which is great, but we’d be grateful to receive another 20.”
The nursery is looking for rainsuits/puddlesuits for babies aged six to 18 months.
