AFTER suspending roadworks for Christmas, National Highways is preparing to start work again on the M4.
Starting from Tuesday, January 2, motorists are being warned of overnight closures between Junction 5 (A4) and Junction 15 (A419/A346), and their associated slip roads.
There will also be works on the areas around Junctions 8/9, Junction 13, and Junction 15.
It will affect the emergency refuge areas and the hard shoulders where applicable.
The work is to allow National Highways to undertake maintenance and renewal work.
Road closures will be on unspecified dates and between 9pm and 6am, being being lifted no later than Christmas Eve in 2024.
Diversions will be in place across the works, and National Highways say the temporary closures, hard shoulder and outside lane running and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs during the works period.
