THE WILLINK School saw 75% of its GCSE candidates pass both English and Maths.
Of the 197 Year 11 students who sat their exams this summer, 25% achieved 9-7 grades, 73% 9-5 grades in English and 63% 9-5 grades in Maths.
The following students achieved at least seven GCSE grades between 9-7: Demetrius S-H, Holly S, Faith L-A, Hannah A, Edison W, Jack A, Ethan H, Maya H, Hayden K, Charlie O, Harvey M, Evan I, Eve B, Leila A, Jack O, Charlie M, Sophie M, Ella R, Max P, Charlie M, Jordan M, Krisztina B, Solomon E, Finley E, Tom H, Ethan L, Maryam R, Amelia S, Josh S, and Will H.
Head, Peter Fry, said: “The Willink School is delighted to announce this year’s GCSE and level 2 results. We send our congratulations to students who have so worked hard – their success is justly rewarded; they have shown great resilience over these last few years.
“Grades overall were down on the last two years in line with national figures but stacked up well against the high watermark of 2019. Almost all our students can now seamlessly move on to their post 16 courses. My thanks to teachers and support staff who have supported and championed this cohort through their exam years”.
Of those sitting the Standard English Baccalaureate, just under half achieved grade 4 or above.
