Antoine Rogeon, Head of MFL, said: “I am incredibly proud of this GCSE cohort and their achievements in French.

“This was the first cohort to sit the GCSE exam after we made the change from IGCSE, so these results are fantastic and show how much modern foreign languages thrive at Queen Anne’s School.”

“The students have worked hard and I am happy that all the extra time we spent practising for the speaking exam paid off.

“The girls who took part in the French exchange prior to the examination scored 89% in average in the speaking exam which shows how valuable those trips are.

“I wish our linguists every success in their further studies at A Level.”

The Dance department is celebrating with 100% of students receiving a grade 8.

One of those was Scarlett Beek who achieved 8s in Dance, Drama and English Literature, and plans to take Media Studies, Dance and Drama at Sixth Form.

Scarlett joined Queen Anne’s in Year 9 from Hemdean House and has been an integral part of the dance and drama performances throughout her time at QAS.

She will now go on to study at Queen Anne’s Sixth Form.
