The owner of a home in Priest Hill, Caversham has won permission to build a fitness studio in her garden.

Approval means a shed at the address can be replaced by a single-storey studio, which will be in operation from 6am-3pm Monday to Friday, 5pm-8pm in the evenings and 7am-11am on Saturdays, with Saturday use only being occasional.

In an assessment, planning officer Tom Bradfield judged that the studio would not result in any harm to the character and appearance of the area, neighbour’s living conditions, the road network or the biodiversity of the area.

The proposals can be seen on Reading Borough Council’s planning website, searching for application 230662.
