Lucas Joao ensured his 29th birthday was one to remember when he put the Royals in front after two minutes.

Paul Ince’s men responded strongly after conceding against the run of play when Ben Willmot netted from a corner.

Reading resumed control of the game in the second-half and went back in front when Joao netted his second of the match, this time from the penalty spot when he slammed the ball past the reach of Bonham after he had been fouled to win the spot kick.
