A VETERINARY clinic in Woodley opened its doors on Saturday to allow the community to help celebrate its first birthday.
Vet’s Klinic in Headley Road East marked the anniversary with games, stalls and activities.
Staff were on hand to introduce themselves and offer tours of the purpose-built complex.
Visitors were able to bring their pets along, and there were all creatures great and small present.
A bake sale offered cakes for sweet-toothed fans, while books, clothes and other goodies were available on a second-hand stall.
Experts from Vet’s Kitchen were able to talk through its range of specialist pet foods, and there was a contest to guess the name of a cat made from Lego.
Balloons and a raffle helped add to the fun.
The event delighted Vet’s Klinic’s managing director, Laura Shears, who said: “We were delighted to welcome so many owners and their pets to help us celebrate our first birthday event.
“Some were new to Vet’s Klinic and wanted to take a look around and meet the team, but many were familiar faces that we have enjoyed getting to know in the last 12 months.
“Everyone had a fantastic day with games, stalls and childrens activities and we raised nearly £300 for our nominated local charity, Street Vet.
“I would like to say a big thank you to all our visitors, to the Reading Klinic team and in particular to Holly Gillespie (RVN) who did such a great job in organising the event.”
