Reading FC fans descended on town centre venue the Purple Turtle on Sunday evening for a Q&A event with three club legends.
Leroy Lita, Glen Little and Nicky Shorey were key players in Reading’s 2005-6 season, as they won the Championship title with a record 106 points and secured promotion to the Premier League for the first time in the club’s history.
Sunday’s Q&A event was a sell out, with fans packing in to the Purple Turtle to hear the trio reminisce about the record-breaking 106 season and Reading’s first Premier League season, which ended with an eighth place finish as the team came within one point of securing a European place.
Fans also got to ask the former players questions and meet them.
Sunday’s event was the latest Q&A with former Reading players at the Purple Turtle, following three similar events at the venue in November last year with Shorey, Adam Le Fondre and Jem Karacan.
The Purple Turtle is hosting another Q&A in April with former manager Steve Coppell, which has already sold out – but there are still tickets available for the Q&A with ex Reading striker and manager Jimmy Quinn on Sunday, June 22, starting at 5.30pm.
Tickets for the Q&A event with Quinn are available by sending a WhatsApp message to 07842 627548.
