AN EVENING of blues will be held in a Reading town centre pub later this month.

Slide guitar virtuoso, blues innovator, and favourite of Johnny Cash, Michael Messer, is teaming up with multi-instrumentalist songwriter Chaz Jankel of Ian Dury and The Blockheads as they begin to tour their debut album, Mostly We Drive.

The collaboration has created a lyrically inventive show with feel-good music to brighten up the grey months.

The event takes place at The Butler in Chatham Street on Friday, March 15. Tickets cost £17.60 including a booking fee.
