A TOUCH of Gallic charm is coming to Reading town centre after plans for a new boulangerie received approval.
PAUL is a French bakery chain that specialises in cakes, platters and tarts, and is to move into the vacant unit on Broad Street that used to house Boots The Opticians before the firm consolidated the branch with its sister in The Oracle.
Reading Borough Council’s planning department granted approval for PAUL to make changes to the shopfront, which will include awning with the company’s branding.
Internal modifications will be undertaken but these works do not require planning consent, and the store will be operated by franchisee Port Phillip Services.
