Former Reading FC academy product Michael Olise netted a brace on his Champions League debut for Bayern Munich.
The former Royal made a big money move to the Bundesliga giants from Premier League Crystal Palace for around £50million.
The Royals, who sold Olise to Palace for around £8million in 2021, benefitted from a sell on clause after his summer move to Germany.
The Frenchman has settled into life at Bayern quickly and scored his first Bundesliga goal last weekend in a 6-1 away victory at Kiel Holstein.
He then followed that up on Tuesday night as Bayern thrashed Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 in their Champions League opener.
Olise scored either side of half-time, while England captain Harry Kane netted four, scoring three penalties as Vincent Kompany’s team made a blistering start to their European campaign.
Having joined the Reading academy in 2017, Olise made his first-team debut in March 2019.
He went on to make a total of 73 appearances in a Reading shirt and was recognised for his outstanding performances in the 2020/21 season by being awarded the EFL young player of the year award.
