Cardiff City have confirmed that former Reading FC midfielder has left the club and will be available as a free agent this summer.

Rinomhota joined the Bluebirds on a free transfer from Reading in 2022 and spent three seasons in Wales. He made a total of 82 appearances for Cardiff.

Rinomhota won Cardiff’s Players’ Player of the Season during the 2024/25 campaign, but will now leave the club at the expiration of his contract.

Cardiff will be playing in League One alongside Reading next season having been relegated from the Championship last season, finishing bottom of the table.

Rinomhota joined Reading’s academy in 2015 and made a big impact when he broke into the first-team in 2018.

He went on to make 139 appearances in all competitions for the Royals and became renowned for his tenacious work rate in the heart of midfield.
