Westwood Wanderers took a huge step to securing the Thames Valley Premier League title with a come-from-behind 4-1 win over Maidenhead Town on Monday night.
Buoyed by a healthy crowd at The Atrium, the Tilehurst-based leaders scored four goals in the second half to maintain a 12-point cushion at the top.
Westwood have four games remaining, while Maidenhead Town have six.
Burghfield are fourth after a 1-4 victory at Slough Heating Laurencians, while Finchampstead in sixth won 4-3 on Monday night against Reading YMCA. They have six games remaining and will be eyeing a top-three finish.
In the Combined Counties Premier League North, Wokingham Town’s 2-1 defeat on Saturday at Edgware and Kingsbury all but ended Berks County’s faint hopes of finishing outside the relegation zone.
The Sumas finished their season on Tuesday night with another disappointing second half display, this time losing 4-2 at bottom club Wembley after leading 2-0 during the first half.
Reading City finish their season on Saturday with a home tie against Burnham, knowing a win will see them finish above local rivals Wokingham Town.
That will be no easy task though, as Burnham will need a win to secure their place in the end-of-season play-offs.

In Division One of the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League, Finchampstead beat local rivals Ashridge Park 2-1 to cement third place.
In the Development League, Burghfield Ladies Reserves underlined their position as champions with a 3-2 win over Sandhurst Wolves Warriors Vets.
