Southern Region Women’s Premier

ASCOT UNITED made another stride towards winning the league title after they completed a comeback to defeat Wycombe Wanderers.

Amelia Kimble’s 18th minute goal did give the Yellas the lead on their trip to Wycombe before the hosts hit back with two quickfire strikes to turn the game around.

Kimble found her second of the match to put Ascot on level terms before half-time.

The game took another twist when Philippa Holden netted from the penalty spot to put Ascot ahead before Sarah Leonard made it 4-2 to seal the points for the visitors.

The Yellas are gripped in a tense title battle and currently have a six point lead over second placed Bournemouth Sports who have two games in hand.
