ASCOT UNITED’s unbeaten run in the league came to an end as they tasted defeat for the first time this season.
Warminster Town took all three points as they scored once in each half to beat the Yellas.
Despite the loss, Ascot remain in top spot with a five point lead on 19 points. However, the two sides directly below them, Bournemouth Sports and Woodley United, each have two games in hand to catch up on.
BFFA Women’s Senior Cup
Following their exit from the FA Cup last weekend, there was more cup heartbreak for WOODLEY UNITED who lost at home to New Bradwell.
Despite their excellent form in the league, where they have won four of six matches, the Kestrels have now suffered back-to-back defeats in cup competitions.
Woodley’s opponents scored twice without reply to move through to the next round.
Woodley are back in league action this weekend in a mouthwatering away trip to leaders Ascot United.
Southern Region Women’s Division One North
ASCOT UNITED RESERVES climbed their way up the league table with a clinical display against CAVERSHAM UNITED.
The Yellas were in superb scoring form and struck eight times to secure an impressive 8-3 triumph.
Mya Bowler’s exceptional striking performance saw her score four times, while Millie Bilcliff, Olivia Darke, Lou Pullen and Liv Mansell added to the score.
Ashton Downey, Caitlin Levy and Kate Stewart netted for Caversham.
Ascot are in fifth place on 13 points, while Caversham have lost all six matches which leaves them bottom of the table.
BBFA Women’s Trophy
ASHRIDGE PARK flew through to the next round by thrashing Milton Keynes City.
Lilly-May Varney was in stunning form as she struck four times, while goals from Laura Comerford, Ciara Jolliffe, Mia Leonard and Amy Linge helped Ashridge to an 8-2 success.
TILEHURST PANTHERS put their name in the next round as they edged past Slough Town in a close cup tie.
CAVERSHAM AFC knocked out Taplow United with a 3-0 success to qualify for the next round with goals from Pia Davis, Courtney Hughes-Boyne and Tiffany Lee.
Thames Valley Women’s Division Two
SANDHURST WOLVES picked up a point on their away trip to Harwell and Hendred.
Sandhurst looked headed for defeat before Ellie Berridge popped up with an 89th minute leveller in the 1-1 draw.
Sandhurst are in seventh position on five points from six matches.
Thames Valley Women’s Division 3S
FINCHAMPSTEAD established their lead at the top of the table with an impressive away win at WARGRAVE RESERVES.
Finch scored five times without reply to keep top spot with a brace from Lauren Smaje and goals from Chloe Bagshaw, Alana Cashmore and Matilda Richards to seal a 5-0 victory.
YATELEY UNITED remain hot on the heels of Finch after their 4-0 away win at Barton Rovers.
A double from Georgia Harris and goals from Megan Worthington and Lucy Chapman saw them win 4-0, which keeps them one point off top spot.
Thames Valley Women’s Development
WOKINGHAM & EMMBROOK moved up to third place with a home success against Wraysbury Village.
Genevieve Richards and Rebecca Geig were on target to see the Sumas to a 2-1 win.
They are on 19 points from 10 matches.
BERKS COUNTY were on the end of a 3-2 loss at Rotherfield United as they suffered their first loss of the league campaign to the league leaders.
Lucie Harvey and Kiah Owen netted for the Swords in the defeat.
ARBORFIELD collected their first win of the season to move off the bottom of the table with an emphatic success against Longford Park Vixens.
Hannah Room bagged a hat-trick and goals from Jessica Catherall, Suzanne Darling and Abbie Kite earned Arborfield a 6-1 win.
