Berks & Bucks Women’s Cup

TILEHURST PANTHERS smashed eight past Taplow United to cruise through.

Leah Why grabbed a hat-trick, while goals from Deanna Cane, Keris-Louise Hunt, Sophie Pearson, Tilly Waight and Thea Wraight helped Tilehurst to an 8-1 win.

 

ASCOT UNITED exited after losing out 3-0 at home to Maidenhead United CT.

Ascot are back in league action next weekend when they host Abingdon Town.

The Yellawoman made a winning start to their league campaign with a 2-1 victory over Abingdon United.

 

BURGHFIELD progressed after they got the better of S4K BERKS COUNTY in a penalty shootout.

Claudia Periquito and Charisse-Ellouise Tregear netted for the Fawkes, while Jessica Kent and Naomi Paxford scored for Burghfield in a 2-2 draw.

Burghfield progressed after they won 3-2 on penalties.

 

CAVERSHAM AFC progressed with a 7-2 victory against Stanford in The Vale.

FA Women’s Cup

WOODLEY UNITED were edged out in a goal filled cup tie at Brentford.

The Kestrels opened the scoring when Rebecca Gooch scored from the penalty spot, but Brentford came roaring back with three goals in quick succession to take a lead into half-time.

Woodley got themselves back within the contest when Sarah Lawrence netted just three minutes after the restart, but they were dealt a blow when Brentford restored their two goal lead immediately after.

The seventh goal of the game came before the hour mark as Charley Evans made it 4-3, but again Brentford regained their two goal advantage just five minutes later.

May Hamblin made it 5-4 with five minutes to go but Woodley were unable to come up with an equaliser in an entertaining cup tie.

Woodley are in cup action again next weekend when they face Long Crendon in the Berks & Bucks County Cup.

 

MORTIMER lost out 8-1 in their cup tie at home to Watford.

Southern Region Women’s Division One North

CAVERSHAM UNITED got off the mark with their first win of the season.

In a tightly contested game, Sumaya Zayadi netted the only goal of the game when she converted from Sophie’s corner.

The Goats host Penn & Tylers Green in their next league outing.

Thames Valley Women’s Division One

ASCOT UNITED RESERVES opened their account for the season with an extraordinary away win at Banbury United.

Ascot hit eight goals past their opponents without reply on their way to taking three points.

Thames Valley Division 3S

WARGRAVE DEVELOPMENT were dealt a 2-1 defeat to Hillingdon Abbots in their opening league game.
