The owner of 266 Kentwood Hill in Tilehurst wants to convert part of the building occupied by an air conditioning company into a studio flat.
The building sits within a terrace of shops with flats above.
The plan is to convert the rear of the ground floor of the building into a studio flat, with the Industrial Air Limited company continuing to operate at the front.
Two further applications have been submitted for the same site. One would see the rear detached garage converted into a studio flat, with no proposed changes to the exterior of the garage.
The second would convert the rear of the building and the detached garage to create two studio flats, effectively a hybrid of applications 231028 and 231029.
Each flat would come with one cycle space.
The application for the studio flats can be seen by searching Reading Borough Council’s planning website for reference 231028, while the garage conversion is 231029, and the addition plan is 231030.
