ROYAL Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service attended an address in Northcourt Road following a fire breaking out earlier today (Wednesday, August 13).
RBFRS has confirmed that crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road, and Wokingham fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an officer.
Sheds, fences, and trees at the address were on fire, and one person required emergency care.
They are now being treated by South Central Ambulance Service.
Crews have now made the scene safe.
A statement from an RBFRS spokesperson said: “At 12:41pm on Wednesday, 13 August, we received reports of a fire on Northcourt Avenue in Reading.
“Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Wokingham fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.
“Upon arrival, crews found a fire involving sheds, fences and trees. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to put out the fire and make the scene safe.
“Crews also gave immediate emergency care to one person, before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
They were on scene for approximately one hour and 50 minutes.”
