A festive light trail has opened at Windsor Great Park for its fifth year, featuring a redesigned route and several new installations.
The trail, which runs until 3 January 2026, was formally opened by the Mayor of Runnymede, Cllr Margaret Harnden. The launch event was attended by a number of public figures, including fitness coach Joe Wicks, presenter Laura Hamilton and broadcaster Paul Ross.
This year’s additions include the Windsor Express Train, Snowball Elves, an Enchanted Forest and a new water show. The trail also features “Frosty Fred”, described by organisers as the first outdoor LED screen figure of its kind.
Windsor Illuminated will also introduce low-sensory sessions for the first time on 25 November. These sessions will use adjusted lighting, lower music levels and reduced visitor numbers to create a more accessible environment.
Visitors can expect food stalls and rest areas along the route, offering seasonal snacks and drinks.
Organisers say super off-peak ticket prices remain at last year’s level, with additional sessions added to meet demand.
