A TEAM from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Kings Road last week – but it was a false alert.
An automatic fire alarm was sounded for an office building at 1.04pm on Thursday, March 14, and a crew from Caversham Road fire station attended.
It took them 10 minutes to establish there was no fire, and they returned to base.
The service is currently consulting on how it responds to such alarms.
