A council house in Circuit Lane will get a level driveway and an extension after an upgrade project was approved by Reading Borough Council.
The project involves building a side extension to create a bedroom and wetroom for a future occupant who could be disabled, with a paved driveway to create better access to the home.
Cllr John Ennis (Labour, Southcote) said the home is currently empty, but the changes were needed to provide suitable housing for a disabled individual or a family with a disabled child.
The project was approved unanimously at a meeting of Reading Borough Council’s planning committee on Wednesday, January 31. The application can be seen on the council’s website, searching for reference: 231580.
