A NEW festival exploring mental health and wellness is coming to Reading on Sunday, bringing with it a whole host of speakers, workshops, and spoken word performances.
Every Little Thing Festival is set to mark Suicide Prevention Day by supporting wellness and providing a space to learn more about mental health and suicide prevention.
The event is the brainchild of Sinead Gibson, who was worked to support those with mental health issues following the loss of her daughter Diva’s life to suicide in May 2020.
A full day of speakers from a range of different fields will examine mental health and suicide prevention, including Royal Society of Arts fellow and TED speaker Nick Hammond, presenter Ayo Sokale, and MedYoga Therapy founder Davinder Ojalla.
It will also see keynote speeches and performances from Dr Carly Jones MBE, Hari Sewell, music superstar Danyl Johnson, London-based rapper Shocka, and former mayor of Reading Rachel Eden.
There’ll also be well-being workshops and live music and DJ sets throughout the day, as well as offering structured support from a range of services, charities, and community groups.
The event is raising vital funds for charities Papyrus and Suicide & Co.
Every Little Thing Festival takes place at Novotel Hotel, Reading, from noon-6pm on Sunday, September 10.
