A CLEAN energy company based in Reading has begun a new apprenticeship scheme to provide career opportunities in the renewables sector.

Enviromena, which develops renewable energy projects in the UK and Italy, has launched a programme to attract a new wave of employees.

In the first scheme of its type for the company, it is hoping to help people diversify their skills and bring new experience to the industry as an alternative to university.

The first role available will be in the finance department at the head office in Grazely, combining on-the-job experience and studies for a Level 3 AAT Accountancy Diploma.

Tuition will be delivered by training provider First Intuition in Reading.

The role is expected to last for 18 months, during which they will work alongside the Finance Manager and Assistant Management Accountant to support their development.

The role is paid, with 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and full study support for AAT Level 3, on completion of which the right candidate would be supported with AAT Level 4 study.

James Armitage, Financial Controller at Enviromena, said: “This is a great opportunity for a hard-working problem solver who is interested in business and finance to start a rewarding career in accountancy.

“Our company is growing rapidly and this is a very exciting time to join the renewables industry. The successful candidate will study for a professional qualification while gaining hands-on work experience in our fast-paced business.”

“With students completing their exams soon and thinking of their next move, I’d highly recommend this opportunity to anyone looking to build a career in finance.

“There has never been a better time to join the clean energy industry and be part of its incredible growth trajectory,”

The application deadline is 30th June 2024, via: ukfinance@Enviromena.com
