A DANCE organisation will be hosting a Zumba-style session in Reading suitable for anyone wanting to come along and have fun.
Dazzle Dance Experience says its Let’s Dance 2026 event will be joyful, accessible and inclusive; suitable for everyone whether they are 8 or 80, a complete beginner, or a lifelong dancer.
Ceri-Ann Williams and Clarissa Dyson, who is a member of Berkshire Filipino-British Association (BFBA), will lead the dancing together.
As well as Zumba moves, they will be giving attendees on the day a chance to learn a traditional Filipino dance.
“And as it’s also International Women’s Day, we expect there will be a lot of girl power,” said Ceri.
Let’s Dance 2026 is a UK-wide campaign inspired by TV broadcaster and journalist Angela Rippon CBE’s experience of reconnecting with dance on Strictly Come Dancing.
It has sparked a wider conversation about the physical, mental and social benefits of dancing.
As part of the campaign, Dazzle Dance Experience is teaming up with BFBA to run a free, Zumba-style dance fitness event to get Reading and Wokingham communities moving.
The event is free to attend, with donations for Parkinson’s UK gratefully accepted on the day.
It will take place at All Saints church Hall, Reading, on Sunday, March 8, from 2.30pm until 4.30pm.
