A CELEBRATION of Irish dance is coming to The Hexagon in Reading next month.
Rhythm of the Dance has been two decades in the making, and is returning with a brand new production.
Ever since we saw Irish dancing in the Eurovision interval back in the 1990s, the world has had renewed appreciation for the art form, which is mesmerising and powerful.
It is rooted in Ireland’s rich culture and heritage, and offers a different perspective on all things Irish.
This new show from Rhythm of the Dance will feature world-class musicians, vocalists and champion dancers, with the aim of being a completely immersive experience, taking audiences on a journey from ancient times to modern, urban Ireland.
With lyrical and contemporary influences, it will be Irish in essence, with a new edge and promises to be an exploration of how far the boundaries of Irish dance can be pushed.
The event takes place at the Queens Walk-based venue on Saturday, July 22, from 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £32.50, with groups of 10 or more enjoying a £1.50 discount.
