A BUSINESS in Reading is hosting a new exhibition to showcase the work of one of the town’s own artists.
The Caversham Picture Framer is set to explore the work of Emily Gillmor through a display of her limited edition screenprints.
Ms Gillmor takes inspiration from her surroundings to create line drawings which combine natural elements and domestic objects such as tools, books, and biscuits.
These are then translated in the studio to create bold, colourful prints.
Ms Gillmore grew up in Reading and studied drawing, painting, and printmaking at Edinburgh College of Art before moving to Moscow.
She then returned to Reading, where she works as a lecturer.
The event features the opportunity to meet with the artist herself, who will be leading a talk about her work.
The Emily Gillmor Exhibition takes place at The Caversham Picture Framer, Church Road, Caversham, from Saturday, November 18, until Saturday, January 6.
Ms Gillmor is leading the Meet The Artist talk from 6.30pm on Friday, December 1.
