Thames Valley Police has arrested eight people in connection with a incident in Reading.
A 24-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of murder today, Monday, February 19.
Seven other men, aged 20, 21, 24, 27, 31, 41 and 48, all from Reading, were also arrested, on suspicion of assisting an offender this morning.
All eight of them remain in police custody.
It follows reports of a road traffic collision between a cyclist and a vehicle on Addington Road, at the junction of Cadugan Place, on Wednesday, February 14.
The cyclist, 36-year-old Vignesh Raman, was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital but declared dead.
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwin of the Major Crime Unit said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of Mr Raman, who are being supported by specially trained officers.
“We are continuing our investigation into the circumstances of his death, and arrests have now been made.
