AN EAST Reading property already in use as lodgings for six people has received permission from the council to increase that by a quarter.
The landlord of the home in College Road sought approval from Reading Borough Council for the plan.
The HMO (House of multiple occupation) already has eight bedrooms but two were not in use when the new application was made.
The council approved the increase from six people to eight, with an officer judging that the existing living room and kitchen is acceptable to provide adequate accommodation for eight people, along with the two unused bedrooms.
