Diversions in place from next week amid works at M4 Junction 12 Theale Interchange

MOTORISTS are being advised to prepare for disruption while maintenance works are carried out on the M4 motorway.

Theale Interchange at Junction 12 of the M4 is set to see works including replacing expansion joints, waterproofing, and carriageway resurfacing.

A full closure is planned to take place next weekend from 9pm on Friday, February 28, until 6am on Monday, March 3.

This will affect the east bridge of the interchange including the entry slip roads to the M4, with overnight lane closures on the M4 in both directions.

Traffic will be diverted via A4 Bath Road, Rose Kiln Lane, A33, A339 Ringway North, A340 Aldermaston Road, Main Road, Tadley Hill, A340 Aldermaston Road, A340 Paices Hill, A340 Basingstoke Road, A4 Bath Road to Theale Interchange junction 12 of the M4.

Traffic wishing to the join the M4 when entry slip roads are closed will follow the diversions until it reaches junction 11 of the M4.
