A LOOK at the role that waterways play in helping wildlife is the subject of a new talk coming to Newbury later this month.
Roger Stace, land manager for the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust, is to speak about the wildlife that lives on and around the canal, including special places such as the Thatcham Reedbands.
The illustrated talk will also help show how the canal is a thriving corridor for nature and the wetland sites across the Kennet Valley.
The session takes place on Wednesday, March 20, from 2pm. Places are free, but must be booked in advance.
It will be held at West Berkshire Museum, in The Wharf.
