Caravan – Ready or Not

This legendary band headlined Wokingham Festival and showed that they were as good as ever. It could be argued that they were actually better than ever as their latest lineup, combining band members who had been there since the 1970s with newer members, had a vibrancy and excitement that was stunning.

As well as material from their classic albums the band also performed a few from their recent 2021 album, It’s None of Your Business which features the current lineup.

It shows that the band can still create great new music.

Here’s a song from that album – https://officialcaravan.co.uk/

Wishbone Ash – Blowin’ Free

Martin Turner, ex-Wishbone Ash, has played some brilliant shows at Wokingham Music Club in the past and he returns on Friday, September 15.

That’s a great excuse to listen to this classic again from their seminal Argus album.

Their tour celebrates the 50th Anniversary of their Live Dates album which also includes a live version of this song – https://www.martinturnermusic.com/

Selina and the Howlin Dogs – Midnight Man

It’s great to have a current local band such as Selina and the Howlin Dogs playing a modern classic rock style.

This locally based blues rock band has been increasing their reputation with their live shows and the release of their excellent single Woman earlier this year.

They have just released a brand new album, Biscuit City.

If you like their blues rock style and the distinctive voice of Selina Arch, you should check it out – https://www.selinaandthehowlindogs.com/

Art Themen – The Night Has A Thousand Eyes

Now another legendary artist but this time in the jazz world.

It’s the brilliant British jazz saxophonist who will be at The Whitty Theatre in Wokingham on September 29 in aid of Wokingham in Need.

This is from the 2022 album Art released with the Dave Barry Quartet – https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/wokinghaminneed/

Who Ate All The Crayons – Deep Blue Delivery

Here’s a song from the brand new Deep Blue EP by this Newbury-based band.

They create wonderful indie pop songs and, as well as this one, there are five more on the EP – https://linktr.ee/whoateallthecrayons

Jopy – Ka Ka Killer

Jopy has been playing gigs in the local area with excellent and exciting live performances.

Here’s a single from earlier this year https://www.facebook.com/jopymusic

One Eyed Man – Celebes Sea

Here’s a new single from this singer-songwriter and it’s another good one – https://www.facebook.com/TheOneEyedManOfficial

The BJ Bevy – Honey, Why I Treat You So Wrong?

This band had Wokingham Festival rocking. This is from their debut God-Honest Man EP – https://www.facebook.com/thebjbevy/

Spacehopper – Pure Essence (Dub)

Wokingham Festival had never had a live trance act in the past.

Spacehopper changed that this year and blew everyone away with their exciting performance – https://www.facebook.com/spacehoppermusic

Kyros – Illusions inside

If you saw them at Wokingham Festival you’ll know how good Kyros are.

This is their latest single – https://www.kyrosmusic.com/
