AS THE school holidays set in, a free family event in Reading is set to bring prehistoric pals to life through the power of toy bricks.

The Reading Dino Trail has been brought to the town centre by BRICKLIVE and Reading’s Business Improvement District, and will see dinosaur models take over the town.

Broad Street Mall, The Oracle Shopping Centre, and participating stores will see Jurassic giants and Cretaceous critters such as the nearly-3m-long Tethyshadros, 2m-high Velociraptors, and a terrifying Pteradon rendered in bricks.

Dino fans can also catch Diplocauluses, Archaeoceratops, and Megalosaurs, with 15 models on display.

Alexa Volker, Reading BID Manager, said: “The Reading Dino Trail is a unique collection of dinosaur brick models that will provide an awe-inspiring spectacle for visitors.

“With amazing models including a large Velociraptor and Parasaurolophus, as well as smaller models like a Diplocaulus and Archaeoceratops, the trail contains some of the most extraordinary toy brick builds ever created.
