A story book event at The Hilton, Reading has raised thousands of pounds for a children’s charity.
Dingley’s Promise provides resources and training to give early years youngsters with special educational needs and disabilities the best possible start in life.
Its gala event in Reading took story books as its theme, with guests able to enjoy a three course meal, an auction and fun activities.
“We were delighted to welcome 160 guests, including supporters, local businesses, our early years partners and our families and staff,” said CEO Catherine McLeod.
“And what a fantastic celebration of the progress and expansion of Dingley’s Promise the event was.
“It was amazing to be able to share it with our supporters.
“Thank you to everyone who contributed to the evening’s success.”
The event raised £23,000, to help Dingley’s Promise continue its work supporting young children with special educational needs and disabilities.
The charity is already planning future events to raise awareness of their work and to support its growth to meet the needs of more children and families with SEND at its Wokingham centre, and across England.
