We all have faith in many things that we cannot actually prove ourselves.
When fill up our cars, we have faith that the liquid we are putting into our cars is what it says on the pump. There is no way that we can be sure, so we trust that it is the correct fuel and that our cars will carry on working. We all choose what we put our faith in.
We make decisions all the time.
We decide whether to drive or walk to the shops.
If I have a few minutes to spare, do I make an effort and spend the time usefully or do I watch a random program on tv or spend the time playing games?
What makes us decide what we should do with our lives?
My faith is very important to me. I am a Christian so I believe in God and Jesus Christ and the moral code that is set out in the bible.
One of the criteria I use in making decisions is what does the Bible tell me about which choice I should make. What impact does my faith have on the decisions I make in my life?
For me, my faith affects every decision I make. My faith in God has made me much less affected by things that happen in my life because I know that God loves me.
The knowledge that God loves me means that I have the strongest possible support.
Who can be stronger than God?
This does not mean that bad things never happen to me, but it does mean that when they happen I know that I have a fantastically strong supporter cheering for me and that I have nothing to fear, whatever happens.
I will have problems through my life, but as long as I keep the bond between myself and God strong, none of these things will have a big negative impact on my thoughts and feelings.
