A POPULAR children’s television programme is heading to the big screen just in time for the school holidays.

CoComelon is a pre-schoolers favourite, and for their cinema debut there will be 40 minutes of the best episodes from the show, promising fun with JJ and his friends.

It will include popular nursery rhymes and songs from the CoComelon library, and is aimed at giving parents the opportunity to bring their toddlers to the cinema for the first time.

To make the experience welcoming, lights are dimmed and the volume is lower than for the big blockbusters.

And for CoComelon, the lyrics will appear on the bottom of the screen, with audiences will be encouraged to sing and dance along.

The screening takes place at the Showcase Cinema in Winnersh on Friday, July 21.
