READING FC WOMEN return to action this Sunday when they make the trip to play Cheltenham Town in the third-round of the FA Women’s Cup.
The Royals have endured a tricky start to life in the Championship after suffering relegation from the Women’s Super League last campaign.
It has been all change at the club in recent months after the departure of long-term manager Kelly Chambers and the decision of the owner to switch the women’s team to a part-time model.
After a drawn out recruitment process, Liam Gilbert was eventually appointed as Chambers’ successor.
After 10 matches, the Royals sit in 10th position on 10 points with two wins, four draws and four defeats and are currently on a run of four league games without a win.

With the next international break on the horizon, the cup tie will be Reading’s next game and they are then in FA WSL action away to Bristol City just three days later.
The Robins, who ply their trade in the National League Southern Premier Division, are in seventh spot in the table.
They have picked up 11 points from 10 matches with three wins, two draws and five losses.
