THERE’S no one quite like Malcolm. So much so, that they have created an annual music festival to celebrate him.

Next month, Club Velocity will present its 13th edition of In Malcolm We Trust, a celebration of Malcolm Unwin, a legend of the Reading music scene, a one-time promoter, a lead singer, and a regular at many Reading gigs.

This time, the bill includes surf band Horse Rock. Organisers promise galloping beats, and the highest class surf n roll, and say they are a must-see band.

Support comes from alt-rock two-piece Barrelhaus, heading over from Oxford, and the New Puritans, a new wave band from Reading.

The fun takes place on Friday, February 23, at The Rising Sun Arts Centre. Tickets are £5, and can be ordered by logging on to: www.wegottickets.com/clubvelocity
