AN AUTHOR is preparing to let slip some secrets when she comes to Caversham next week.

Fourbears Books in Prospect Street is to welcome Veronica Henry, creator of The Secret Beach.

A scriptwriter for many years, she has worked on dramas including Heartbeat and Holby City. as well as The Archers. She was also a writer-in-residence on the Orient Express.

The event takes place from 7pm on Monday, March 11.

Entry costs £5, which includes refreshments and a £2 discount off The Secret Beach.
