A CAVERSHAM restaurant that specialises in vegan cuisine is seeking permission to change the hours it can sell alcohol.
Vegivores, located in St Martin’s Precinct in the village centre, started as a street food stall in 2017, opening the restaurant two years later.
It has applied to Reading Borough Council sell alcohol on and off the premises from 11am to 10pm Mondays to Thursdays, 10am to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 10am to 10pm on Sundays.
The company already has a drinks menu featuring beers, ciders, wines and cocktails, so this is a change in licensing permissions.
The restaurant is currently open from 11am to 3pm Monday to Wednesday, 11am to 9pm on Thursdays, 10am to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 10am to 9pm on Sundays.
Comments can be made by emailing licensing@reading.gov.uk – these are publicly available, and must be made by Sunday, September 3.
