A COFFEE shop in Reading town centre could become a hotel if a planning application submitted to Reading Borough Council is approved.
La Baguette is acting as developer to the site on Blagrave Road, currently home to a branch of coffee chain CUP.
They want to convert the site into an 18-room bed and breakfast. Work would involve demolishing the building to the rear and constructing a new five-storey building.
The front of the building would be retained, with plans for a ‘green wall’ on the façade as well.
